Emily and Austin got married on June 6th, 2020. Emily drove up from Texas just days before the wedding with her parents and sister. She and Austin had originally hoped and planned to have their wedding day in Texas with all of their family and friends surrounding them. However, due to the DOD travel ban, plans changed. When they couldn’t have their big wedding they decided to have an intimate day. Their Malmstrom Air Force Base wedding took place at the base chapel. They had 10 guests at their wedding, including me and the chaplain. So that way their family in Texas could still be a part of the day their broadcast their ceremony through an ipad. Emily’s sister played the flute and Austin’s best man read scriptures during their ceremony. It was short, sweet, and beautiful.
Knowing that they wanted some outdoor photos, we did their first look at Memorial Park. Then after the ceremony we went back to the park for family photos. Once everyone left to go get ready for dinner, I hung out with them for couples photos at the Malmstrom Museum. I am honored that I got to be a part of their day and feel so grateful that we all got to celebrate together. Here are a few of my favorites from Emily and Austin’s Malmstrom Air Force Base wedding.
