Montana Ranch Wedding – Sydney & Blake

Last summer I had the honor of capturing Blake and Sydney’s Montana ranch wedding. The two of them met at Fresh Life church and Sydney noticed Blake right away. She remembers talking to her sister about him and how it took weeks for her to plan a way for all of them to hang out. When they were finally able to hang out; they got together in a small group went rollerblading. Sydney recalls that she was way to shy to actually talk to him that night.  The next day she saw that he had messaged her on Facebook about how much fun the night was. After that message they started talking and hanging out. A few weeks later they officially started dating. It was about a year later that they took a trip to Banff. At the end of a long and cold hike in the 20 degree weather Blake proposed to Sydney.

Sydney told me that in general their wedding was so special in many ways. Because of state wide restrictions they had to cancel their wedding that was supposed to be in Whitefish, Montana. However, they still wanted to get married and so in just 4 weeks they planned a completely different wedding. They celebrated with 50 (the max amount that could gather at the time) of their closest friends and family. Blakes close family and his friend, Payne, who married them all managed  to come up from Nashville.

They had so many favorite moments from the day that they will always remember. Blake said his favorite moment was when Sydney walked down the aisle and she told me that she would have to agree with that. Sydney said that it will always stand out how windy it was that day. As she said “my dress flowed so much in the wind, I loved it!”

Their day was so beautiful it was focused around their love for each other and their faith. You could genuinely see how much the two of them love each other and their family and friends couldn’t have been any happier for them. The atmosphere and energy of the day was inspiring and I am so happy that I got to be a part of it. Here are a few of my favorites from Blake and Sydney’s Montana ranch wedding.
