During the start of my rebrand I had to dig deep and think of what truly inspired me. What fueled me to take a photograph and turn it into art. Two things really stood out – the beauty of the countryside and old world charm. That is when I decided to dedicate my summer to capturing country fairytales.
When I say country I don’t mean burlap and gingham. I mean rolling hills dotted with wildflowers that are worthy of a scene in “The Sound of Music.” From the peaceful meadows to the rocky cliff sides that overlook the valleys, there is something so romantic about the country!
Shortly after my rebrand, one of my favorite wedding vendors, in Montana, reached out to me about collaborating on a project. Monica asked me if I would be interested in doing a series of ethereal, Disney Princess inspired shoots and I must say her timing couldn’t have been better!
Our first shoot was inspired by Sleeping Beauty. We wanted a setting that reminded us of the meadow where Aurora met Prince Phillip. After looking at a couple of beautiful Montana wedding venues we chose Montana Wildflower Weddings near Red Lodge.
The day was definitely worthy of a fairytale and it ended with a perfectly magical, cotton candy sunset.
